Time of my Life

I hate celebrity gossip. Oh god do I hate it, but this is damn funny:

The other night as American Idol was on in the background at home I noticed that Paula Abdul was slurring her speech and looked kind of intoxicated. Then, when they came back from commercial she was gone. She was so hammered they had to take her off the air! I guess it's probably just the tip of the iceberg and I probably shouldn't think her addiction is funny but you can't be in a position like that and just let yourself go.

I may become an avid Idol watcher just to see f'ed up Paula.

Recently I've been appreciative of all the peer influences I had in college. You'd be surprized of the people I've learned from. I now know you don't need to be a good teacher to teach a lesson. I'd like to thank everyone who's influenced me in any way. I'll never be able to repay you all but I'm sure gonna try.

High of 60 degrees expected today!

And then snow this weekend.

4:45AM - Curse the alarm
5:00AM - Curse having to get up before the sun
5:15AM - Stub my toe on something in the dark bedroom. Curse again.
5:30AM - Annoyed by Shaul Turner for adding nothing the the fox morning news show.
5:45AM - Curse having to leave in 20 minutes and brush my teeth, make my lunch, drink a cup of coffee and say goodbye to my wife in that time.
6:05AM - Begin my walk down the driveway to the bus stop and slip (almost comically) in the driveway hurting my elbow and nearly knocking the wind out of me.
6:12AM - Round the corner just in time to see my bus cruise by a block away three minutes ahead of schedule.
6:13AM - Scream "FUCK!" so loud I could wake the neighbors because the bus has NEVER EVER been early.
6:15AM - Walk back up the driveway and almost slip again.
6:20AM - Finish my cup of coffee which is now cold.
6:50AM - Board the next bus which is 8 minutes late.
7:17AM - Board lightrail 30 minutes later then usual
7:45AM - Train driver announces they've lost power at the last stop on the route and therefor all the trains are backing up because they can't turn around to go back north.
8:27AM - Finally sit down at my desk at work to begin my day.

So I've been riding public transit for a month and have had no problems. The other day the bus was early and today the bus didn't even show up. I'm beginning to have my doubts.

Luckily I was able to get a ride to work with my Dad's girlfriend and arrived 40 minutes early. Much to my dismay the door was locked when I arrived and no one would answer the phone. After sitting there a few minutes I decided to try and MacGyver the door open with a piece of string from my backpack. And, after a few attempts, I was actually successful! It must be my lucky day.

Found out last weekend that my best childhood friend will be having a baby with his girlfriend. I was wondering just the other day who would be the first to have a baby now I no longer have to wonder.

I'm going to Kansas for a few days for my job. We're going to K-State out there to see if we can find any good interns. I get paid and fed the whole time so other than the extremely boring drive it shouldn't be too bad.

Just a quick update on life.
