nonsense

Anyone else work with the nonsense person? You know, the person who drags out senseless conversations for an uncomfortably long period of time? We've got one in our office and I will actually change my direction to avoid them most times. It gets ugly when they corner me at my desk and leave no means of escape. Sometimes it gets even worse when I watch them corner someone important who's in a hurry. I start screaming at them (in my head of course) and silently wish them to drop dead of an aneurysm.

Oh, it hurts.

We have a couple people like that at my work - the worst is this guy we call BK (from his initials). He is paranoid, full of conspiracy theories, and a real drag. A couple guys used to play "BK tag" - once cornered they would jump on the first opportunity to take him over to the other guy's desk and pass him off, starting the game over. They kept track of who got who stuck with him the most and how much time BK spent blabbing aimlessly at them.

The way I get rid of him is by just continuing to look at my computer, work and not say anything back unless absolutely necessary. It's mildly awkward (and kinda rude) but after about 5 minutes he leaves.

I don't have that person but I have "lady with the most annoying laugh EVER (which is brought on by nothing)", The Martyr EVIL Bitch, and the always favorite Complete Idiot (seriously you've been in this ocupation for 11 years and still don't understand shit you should have known 10 years ago?). Enough to make me want to kill them most days but I just keep the music pumping and the blinders on.

Thanks for letting me bitch a bit. :)
