restoration

Nicole has been back for almost a week now and things are (or at least I am) beginning to return to normal. Missing her for a week made me realize how much I really count on her and how many little moments in my day are just filled with something to do with her.

It's nice to have Nicole home.

I had a bad start to my day today and I was upset until I pulled into one of the last available parking spaces at work, late. I rarely park in the space because it's too far from the building entrance but it does have a nice view of some of the natural Colorado open space right next to our building.

It had been raining since I woke, making the commute miserable but when I finally parked the car and looked up I saw a little coyote playing in the rain. He would run in a tight circle, fall down in the fresh mulch (don't ask me why it's there) and dirt and then twitch his ears and tail, sometimes rolling over in the process. He'd then stand up and do it all over again. He was having the best time and it was the cutest thing I've ever seen a wild animal do.

Thank you little coyote. You made my day much better.
