Carly Mae Greto

A while back Dan posted about a conversation he had with a friend years and years ago that taught him to see the colors in people's skin. I had a similar memory of a conversation while trying to fall asleep tonight:

In college I was studying for a physics test with my friend Carly Greto when the conversation turned away from the terribly boring physics to a much more lively topic; our dating lives. She was explaining to me that she had been seeing the brother of a friend of hers and now when she's around her friend she sees traits of the brother in her and when she's around the brother she sees traits of her friend. She also explained how it weirded her out a little and I found this peculiar but couldn't relate in the slightest at the time.

I'm not sure how long after that conversation it started happening but if I were to ever meet the siblings of a girlfriend (or spouse) I couldn't help but notice their similarities. At first it was a little unnerving but now I think it's amusing and can't but help smile when I see the similarities between my wife and her brother and think of my friend Carly.

I'm not sure what Carly is up to these days but I hope she's doing well. Last I heard she moved to NYC. If it weren't for her I don't think I would have ever made it through that physics class.

Thank you Carly. Thank you for the passing physics grade, the DC cap, the brownies you made me and altering my view of the world!
