Pothole Season

Winters in Denver are brutally cold, unbearably long and bring with them ungodly amounts of snow. People here will tell you that all of that is made okay by the "frequent" sunny days and they'll also boast about how quickly all that snow melts-- which, honestly, never really does, instead it accumulates in unsightly mounds of grit and grime that don't disappear until nearly summer. But what makes winters here even worse is that all the melting and freezing causes hazardous cracks and craters called potholes -- small ones, big ones, GIANT ones that close down major highways for days at a time.

I hate potholes (literally and figuratively). fuck winter.
