Why do people want to know the awful details? What difference does it make? What's done is done. There is no changing it. Knowing how makes no difference. I hate that they ask me, and even if I knew I wouldn't say.

I don't want the details, but I don't know what you are talking about, so I hope you are OK and everything is alright. Knowing how things are going in general is a good thing.

Everything is fine with us. The details people were asking are about a friend, which makes their query even more disturbing because her business is not mine to tell.
